The Berrien Township Planning Commission met on March 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the township hall. Vice-Chairman Ron Harner called the meeting to order and opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag.

 

Roll call: Vice-Chairman Ron Harner, Secretary Doug Shelton, Dave Riedlinger, Robert Norris, Ross Rogien. Absent were Chairman Dale Sherwood, and Edwin Kerlikowske Jr.

 

Also present were: Building Inspector Jim Hoover and resident Rick Moore.

 

Jim Hoover presented the building permit report. There was one permit for a remodel because of fire. There were 3 permits for electrical.

 

The next meeting is set for April 20^th, 2009. This will be a joint meeting with the Township Board.

 

 

 

Planning Commission would like to verify if all of the changes were made on the zoning map and master plan map for land use and if it is back from the county. Also they would like to verify status of the P.U.D. ordinance.

 

Suggestion from Ross Rogien: We should put together a master agenda with sub-agendas for each item. Possibly include it in a three-ring binder with the master plan and zoning map included.

 

There was a motion to adjourn made by Bob Norris, seconded by Riedlinger. All ayes, none opposed, Motion Carried.
